These obligations help showcase the impact of our funding, strengthen our visibility, and support future fundraising efforts to continue lowering barriers to soccer participation.

Financial Transparency Requirements

    • All recipients must maintain accurate financial records and provide:
    • A detailed breakdown of how funds were spent, including receipts for any major purchases.
    • An official financial statement or report verifying expenditures related to the grant.
    • Proof that funds were used for their intended purpose, as outlined in the grant application.
    • Organizations receiving $5,000 must provide a financial audit or summary statement for verification.
  • Community Engagement & Event Participation. To foster long-term partnerships, we encourage grant recipients to:
    • Attend at least one Northwest Soccer Foundation event annually (virtual or in-person).
    • Volunteer or provide mentorship for at least one of our community programs (if applicable).
    • Promote future grant opportunities within your network to help more individuals and organizations access funding.
  •

Branding & Visibility Requirements

  • Logo Placement & Branding. All funded individuals, teams, clubs, and organizations must:
    • Add the Northwest Soccer Foundation logo to any uniforms, team apparel, or official event materials funded by the grant.
    • Display our logo on your website with a link to our foundation’s website.
    • Include our logo on marketing materials, banners, or signage at relevant events or programs funded by the grant.
  • Social Media & Public Acknowledgment
    • Announce your grant award on social media (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn) within two weeks of receiving funding, tagging the foundation and using our designated hashtags (e.g., #SoccerForAll #NWSF).
    • Feature our foundation in social media posts throughout the year, particularly during grant-funded activities.
    • Provide us with high-quality images or videos showcasing how the grant is being used (e.g., training sessions, events, new equipment, scholarships awarded).
    • Participate in at least one feature post or interview for our website, newsletter, or social media.
  • Website & Partnership Recognition
    • If you are an organization, club, or non-profit, add our foundation to your website’s partner page or sponsorship section.
    • If applicable, mention our support in press releases or media coverage related to the funded initiative.

Impact Reporting & Data Collection

  • Annual Impact Report (Due December 31st Each Year). All recipients must submit an Annual Impact Report detailing:
    • How the funds were used, including specific programs, events, or purchases.
    • Number of individuals directly impacted (e.g., number of players, scholarships awarded, events hosted).
    • Success stories, testimonials, or community feedback on how the funding helped lower barriers.
    • Photo and/or video evidence showcasing the impact.
    • Challenges faced and lessons learned in implementing the grant.

Failure to Comply

  • Failure to meet these requirements may:
    • Affect future grant eligibility.
    • Result in a request for partial or full reimbursement of funds.
    • Lead to removal of public recognition as a funded partner.

By following these guidelines, recipients help us increase visibility, showcase impact, and continue expanding opportunities for players and communities in need. Together, we can build a stronger, more inclusive soccer community across Cascadia.
